Tongue Scraping

Tongue scrapers have been increasingly common and popular in the market, and they come in a variety of shapes and colors. The main purpose of it is to maintain your tongue's cleanliness and oral health. Most people use it by scraping from the back of their tongues and pulling it forward, while some use the back of their toothbrushes to clean their tongues.

Scraping your tongue gives you the feeling of having fresh breath afterwards, but that does not necessarily mean that it should be included in your daily routine. As a matter of fact, tongue scraping does not help with preventing or eliminating bad breath, since bad breath bacteria will only grow back as fast as you remove it.

Tongue scraping is definitely a good practice to add to your dental routine, but there are also a couple of things which you can do to ensure that your mouth is healthy at all times. Brushing your teeth twice a day with flouride toothpaste should definitely be practiced. Besides, it is always nice to floss your teeth daily because it prevents food from trapping between your teeth, leading to cavities. Also, avoiding sugary food and drinks in your diet would help as well. And at last, it is always recommended to visit your dentist regularly for routine check ups and prevention.
